Joyce Little

Mrs. Joyce Marie (Montgomery) Little, 81, of Jonesboro, AR., passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Ridgecrest Nursing and Rehab in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs. Little was born in Hobbs, NM., on February 26, 1938 to Talbert Erskine and Lydia (Gilbreath) Montgomery. Joyce was a Christian wife and mother. She was also a homemaker and farmer, working beside her husband every day when he was in the field. Joyce loved decorating cakes and as many of you know did a marvelous job! She was a Christian and loved her Lord and her Apple Hill Church of Christ family. She also enjoyed singing, collecting dolls, watching hummingbirds, and going to Scottish festivals.

On May 29, 1954 she married Lonnie Little in Corning. He preceded her in death on August 15, 1990.

Survivors include four children Stan Little and wife Cheryl of Mayfield, KY., Sandy and husband James King of Jonesboro, AR., Johnny Little and wife Beth of Elsinore, MO., Karen and husband Mike Skinner of Jonesboro, AR.; 15 grandchildren, Jamie Davis, Shane Little, Brandi King, Darin Little, Laura Green, Jonathan Little, April Drenning, Gregory Wheeler, Steven Little Sprouse, Heather Manchester, Michael Little, Sandy Lein, Garrett Griffin, Connor Griffin, Jason Skinner; plus 29 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends!

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by one son Roger Little; two brothers Calvin Montgomery, Johnny Montgomery; five sisters Vivian Wright, Reba Hance, Lita Herron, Jane Snyder Parker, and Verna Wimberely.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Little, Darin Little, Jonathan Little, Garrett Griffin, Connor Griffin and Robert Davis.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Stan Little and James King officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
