J.R. Finnie

Mr. John Raymond "J.R." Finnie, 82, of Reyno, AR., passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mr. Finnie was born in Reyno, AR., on December 6, 1931. He was a retired machinist at the Mississippi River Natural Gas Transmission and Distribution Station in Biggers, AR. He enjoyed guns, hunting and fishing. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a member of the Old Reyno Freewill Baptist Church on Reyno, AR.

He married his wife of sixty one years Dorotha Rose (Crowley) Finnie on November 2, 1952. She survives, other survivors include three daughters Debbie Finnie of Renyo, AR., Kathy Jansen of Reyno, AR., Ginger Segraves of Maynard, AR.; two grandchildren Josh Jansen, Regan Segraves; one great-granddaughter Alexis Jansen; two step-grandchildren Joshua Jansen and Nathan Jansen.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Easter and Myrtle (Meeks) Finnie; three sisters Ruby Hart, Vera Johnson and Juanita Palaski.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Bundy officiating. Burial will follow the service at Nelson Cemetery in Reyno. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
