Mrs. Juanita Lou “Blackie” Blackburn, 87, of Corning, AR., passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Mrs. Blackburn was born in Elsinore, MO., on December 9, 1931. She was employed by Johansen Shoe Factory; her hobbies included quilting, doing word searches and cooking many meals. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her husband Elmo Blackburn of Corning, AR.; three children John E. Lane of Pocahontas, AR., Keith Lane of Corning, AR., Diane Taylor of Corning, AR., two brothers Burton Eddington of Datto, AR., Irvin Eddington of Doniphan, MO., three sisters June Swan of Datto, AR., Barbara White of Maynard, AR., Brenda Eddington of Datto, AR.; fifteen grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a husband, parents Eddie Bryan and Anna (Wood) Eddington; two sons Larry Lane, Don Lane; two brothers Charles Eddington, J.W. Eddington; five sisters Jane Sullivan, Ruth Wigger, Til McDowell, Elenora Eddington, Virginia Lopez and a granddaughter Mary Anna Lane.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Roger Hovis officiating. Burial will follow the services at Johnston Cemetery in Reyno, AR. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM
