Judy Forbes, age 72, of Knobel, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Paragould, Arkansas.

Born on February 1, 1954, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Judy was a devoted homemaker who treasured caring for her family. She found joy in cooking, tending to her flower gardens, and watching hummingbirds. A woman of deep faith, Judy was a member of the Pentecostal church.

On July 9, 1971, Judy married Bill Forbes, and together they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Bill Forbes; her children, Lisa Hodges of Paragould and Keith Forbes of Harrisburg; her brothers Jim Halcomb of Knobel, Glen Halcomb of Walnut Ridge, and Ricky Halcomb of Corning; her sisters Cathy Green of Corning, Cathy Moore of Jonesboro, and Charlotte Wheat of Lafe; her grandchildren Amanda, Lindsey, Toni, and Jace; and one great-grandchild, Nora. Judy also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will cherish her memory.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, W.D. and Virginia Marlene (Collins) Halcomb; her brother Larry Halcomb; and her niece Ashley Green.

A graveside service to honor Judy’s life will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel, with Bro. Herb Ellis officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be James Ray, Jim Jim Sweaney, Adrienne Ealey, Terry Dillard, Amanda Ealey, and Denny Archer.

Judy Forbes will be remembered with love and gratitude for her unwavering devotion to family and faith. Her gentle spirit and the warmth she shared will be deeply missed.
