Junior "Cj" Dowdy

Mr. Clarence Junior “C.J.” Dowdy, 70, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at home. Mr. Dowdy was born in Success, AR., on January 22, 1946. He owned Flying Hog Enterprises in Corning, AR. He loved to work and play baseball. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was of the Church of Christ faith.

He married his wife of 37 years Mrs. Martha (Patrick) Dowdy on December 20, 1979. She survives, other survivors include his brother Mike Dowdy of Corning, AR.; and step-sister Judy Gambrell of Brookland, AR.

He was preceded in death by his son Joseph Henry Dowdy; mother Jesteen (Wilburn) Dowdy; and father and step-mother Clarence E. and Marie Dowdy.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow the services at Richwoods Cemetery in Corning, AR., with Military Honor's. Visitation will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
