Mr. Junior Carlton Pierce, 88, of Corning, AR passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015 at home. Mr. Pierce was born in Success, AR., on September 19, 1926. He was the retired owner of NAPA Auto Parts in Corning. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and watching Cardinals baseball. He was a member of Corning Lions Club for 30 years. He was a member of the House of Prayer in Corning.
Her married his wife of 67 years Faye (White) Pierce on February 3, 1945, she preceded him in death on July 21, 2012. He later married Pauline (Cate) Milburn - Pierce on December 14, 2013, she survives. Other survivors are seven children Richard Pierce and wife Joyce of Mountain Home, AR., Delbert Pierce and wife Karen of Poplar Bluff, MO., Randall Pierce of Corning, AR., Judy Henderson of Corning, AR., Janet and husband Dale Cooper of Poplar Bluff, MO., Pam and husband John Anderson of Shreveport, LA., Becky and husband Chuck Wells of Corning, AR; two step-children Larry Milburn of Doniphan, MO., Dianna Austin of Corning, AR.; twenty six grandchildren; thirty two great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Faye; his parents John Wolsey and Willie Luise (Keele) Pierce; three daughters Teresa Price, Donna Gilbee, Connie Hankins; one grandson Timothy Mark Pierce; and twelve brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
