Laney Roberts

Laney Mae Roberts, Passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at The Baptist Home in Ironton, MO. Mrs. Roberts was born on December 20, 1934 in McDougal, AR. She was a retired payroll clerk having worked for Brown Shoes and Moseby Printing. She enjoyed quilting, calligraphy, gardening, and baking cookies. She was Southern Baptist.

She married the love of her life James M. Roberts on August 17, 1957, they recently celebrated 66 years of marriage. Other survivors include her daughter Emily and husband Dennis Tohlen of Raymore, MO.; two grandchildren Michael Tohlen and Jared Tohlen; six great-grandchildren; and a sister Saundra Hatley of McDougal, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Flossie (Garver) Stanley; three sisters and a brother.

Private family graveside service and burial will be conducted Monday, October 9, 2023 at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, AR. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Montauk Baptist Church in Salem MO.
