Obituary

Larry Dale Palmer of Conway, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026. Larry was born on June 8, 1944, to his parents, Jessie Gilbert (JG) and Velma Williams Palmer in Peach Orchard, Arkansas. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and Sue Pogue, his sister.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Palmer and his sisters Mary Weaver of Paragould, Arkansas and Carol Littlejohn of Heber Springs, Arkansas., his daughter, Christie Olson and son-in-law, Dean Olson, his granddaughter, Ashton Smith (Arron Smith), and great grandsons, Landon and Shaun Smith. He also had many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that loved and cared for him.

Larry was of the Baptist faith and a long-time member of the Brumley Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas.

Larry served his country by serving in the Army in Vietnam.

Larry had a business administration degree and worked for the Crime Commission of Arkansas in Little Rock, then became the Assistant Judge for Pope County in Russellville and later retired from the State of Arkansas Housing and Weatherization Department, where he oversaw and taught seminars using the book he wrote about weatherization.

He was always staying busy with side jobs such as remodeling houses and owning Cypress Creek Bluegrass Park in Adona, Arkansas.

He loved all types of music and enjoyed playing the piano, taking photographs, all water sports, taking his friends on short flights in his plane and taking long drives in the country.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 10, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with David Zirkle officiating. Burial with Military Honor's will follow at Brownie Cemetery near Peach Orchard, Arkansas
