Mr. Larry Don Woods, 62, of Corning, AR., passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mr. Woods was born in Bragg, MO., on June 24, 1950. He enjoyed NASCAR, Gardening and attending George Ray's Drag Races. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He married his wife Mary Kay (Janes) Woods on August 17, 1990. She survives. Other survivers include two daughters Robin and husband Brian Woolard of Naylor, MO., Velvet and husband Chad Azbill of Corning, AR.; two step-sons Shannon Vallance and wife Jennifer of Pocahontas, AR., Anthony "Bub" Vallance and wife Jammy of Corning, AR.; eight brothers Gene Woods and wife Doris of Kennett, MO., Jerry Woods of Success, AR., Bob Woods of Jonesboro, AR., Ronnie Woods and wife Paulette of Corning, AR., Jim Woods and wife Mary of Corning, AR., Mike Woods of Grady, AR., Bill Woods of Poplar Bluff, MO., Mark Woods and wife Karla of Pocahontas, AR.; five sisters Reba and husband John Barnett of Sikeston, MO., Carolyn Hudson of Corning, AR., Patty and husband Gary Hobbs of Poplar Bluff, MO., Brenda and husband Brad Miles of Ripley, MS., Renee and husband Tony Miller of Pocahontas, AR.; two grandchildren Landon Azbill, Olivia Woolard; four step-grandchildren Carley Vallance, Colton Vallance, Cory Vallance and Blake Carter.
He was preceded in death by his parents J.T. and Cardelia (Gaines) Woods; one brother Dale Woods; and brother–in-law Harry Hudson.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Sunny Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Hitt Cemetery in Success, AR. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
