Mrs. Lavada A. (Byars) Dillard, 79, of Saint Peters, MO., went to be with Jesus on May 8, 2018 at Delmar Gardens of Meramec Valley in Fenton, MO. Mrs. Dillard was born in Chicago, IL., on August 13, 1938 the daughter of the late Willie Clifton and Ruby A. (Tubbs) Byars. She faithfully served her Lord and after the passing of her beloved husband, the late Reverend Charles F. Dillard, she continued to serve in the missionary work they began and shared together in Central America, Europe and finally in Africa, feeding her Lord's people and sharing God's word.
She was the dearest mother of Shari Stevens and Carol Rowan; loving grandmother of Jennifer Stevens, Travis Massa and the late Jason Blanton; great-grandmother of Colin Sansegraw, Taylor Stevens, Cody Sprock, Tiffany Stevens, Mackenzie Mccallum, Wesley (Blanton) Rowan, Kaitlin (Blanton) Rowan, Joseph Rowan, Riley Massa and Callie Massa; great-great-grandmother of Payton Stevens; dear sister of Anita Beecher, Wilma Dean, Lucy King, Ann Cunningham, Willie Byars, Daniel Byars, Samuel Byars, Steven Byars and the late Reginald and William Byars; dear sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt and friend to countless others around the world.
Per Lavada's wishes, funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the services in Post Oak Cemetery, near McDougal, AR. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 3:00 PM until the time service.
