Leland Poyner

Mr. James Leland Poyner, 85, of Doniphan, MO., passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Poyner was born May 17, 1937 in Success, AR. He was a retired welder who enjoyed riding horses, spending time on the CB, feeding deer, fishing, hunting, and spending time on the river. He was a member of Corning Masonic Lodge #719.

Survivors include his children Wayde Poyner of Success, AR., and Trisha (Tony) Leary of New Bern, NC.; grandchildren Shauna Nicole, Bethany, Jarrod Mox and Logan.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse James and Agnes Estalee (Keelin) Poyner and brothers Thomas and Carl “Punk” Poyner.

Visitation will be held Thursday November 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with Reverend Richard Mahan officiating. Burial will follow the services at Hitt Cemetery in Success, AR.
