Mrs. Lena Stormes, 89, of Black Rock, AR., formerly of Peach Orchard, AR., and Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 at home. Mrs. Stormes was born in Peach Orchard, AR., on January 28, 1923. She was a Seam-stress and Homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, working in the yard, gardening both flowers and vegetables. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She married her husband Raymond Edward Stormes on October 9, 1940. He preceded her in death January 5, 1997.
She is survived by three sons Clyde Stormes of Fort Smith, AR., Randell Stormes of Oak Grove, AR., Rick Stormes of Oak Grove, AR.; three daughters Lena Sue Golliver of Paragould, AR., Pat Sanders of Black Rock, AR., Wanda Cook of Pocahontas, AR.; one sister Roberta Huggins Poplar Bluff, MO.; eightteen grandchildren; twenty eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents John L. and Maggie Mae (Booth) Sancomb; one son Clinton Stormes; one brother Edward Sancomb; two sisters Glenna Robinnett and Media Sancomb.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Doctor Terry Wallace officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
