Mrs. Lena Mae Thompson, 98, of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mrs. Thompson was born in Faulkner County, AR., on August 30, 1913. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening and needlework, she was a member of the Success Church of Christ.
She married her husband of sixty nine years Theodore "Ted" Thompson on January 25, 1929. He preceded her in death on September 3, 1998.
She is survived by two daughters Ann White of Paragould, AR., Evelyn Bledsoe of Corning, AR.; two grandchildren Jimmy White, Leann Burns; four great-grandchildren Russ White, Missy White, Tommy Burns, Amy Burns; six great-great-grandchildren Hannah, Hayden, Tyler, Karlie, Allie and Tucker.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents Truman and Oma (Oliver) Rhoades; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
