Mrs. Leopha Harley, 87, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Mrs. Harley was born in Pollard, AR., on June 7, 1924. She was a retired school teacher having taught in Illinois and the Corning School District. She was a graduate of Arkansas State University, she enjoyed gardening, traveling and collecting antiques. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Corning.
She was married to Ed Harley, he preceded her in death on August 26, 2000.
She is survived by one daughter Jean Harley Harper of Selah, WA.; two brothers Bud McKinney of Heber Springs, AR., Bob McKinney of Corning, AR.; three grandchildren Kenneth Harper, Amber Harley Williford, Kaytie Harley Curtwright; four great-grandchildren; one aunt Gurtie Howell of Corning, AR.; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death husband Ed Harley; parents Lonnie H. and Clarise (Howell) McKinney; and one son Eddie J. Harley.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 12:00 PM in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, AR., with Reverend Carl McKinney officiating. Public visitation will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel.
