Mrs. Lillie Mae Drowns, 79, of Hoxie, AR., formerly of Moark, AR., passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs. Drowns was born in Boydsville, AR., on December 26, 1937. She was was a homemaker who enjoyed playing cards. She was a member of the Hickoria Pentecost Church.
She married her husband Delmar Drowns on May 21, 1955. He preceded her in death.
She is survived three children William C. Drowns of Hoxie, AR., David Esco Drowns of Bangor, MI., Peggy Sue Hosier of Bangor, MI.; one brother Charlie Pence of McDougal, AR.; four sisters Edna Hendrix of McDougal, AR., Matilda Russell of Walcott, AR., Loretta Hendrix of Qulin, MO., Shirley Darrenger, and Alice Clayton both of Peach Orchard, AR., ; eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents Esco R. and Martha Flora Melissa (Young) Pence; five children Lillie Denise, Robert Lee, Martha Ann, Mary Ann, Donald Ray; two brothers Jerry Pence, Bob Pence; two sisters Sharron Hawkins and Hazel Weaver.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Ermert Funeral Home.
