Linda Lee Smith

Linda Lee (Brown) Smith, 67, of Corning passed away October 13, 2023 at Corning Therapy and Living Center.

Mrs. Smith was born on June 30 1956 she was born to C.L. Brown and Georgia Elnora (May) Brown in Jonesboro. Linda loved being a wife, mother, skilled fisherman, and expert card player. She spent her life both caring for others but also taking time to enjoy life with her friends and family.

She is survived by her sister Helen Bea Alakel of Mt. Home, Arkansas. Son Douglas Smith of Corning, Daughter Jennifer (Dexter) Moore of Illinois, as well as 11 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other family, and others she claimed as her family throughout the years.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Bobby “Steve” Smith, parents, brother Lawrence Brown, and sisters Bonnie Houseman, Connie Harrell, and Libbye Blevins-Penter.

Visitation will be held Thursday 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 12 noon with Rev. Carmon McMasters officiating. Burial will be at Corning Cemetery.
