Mrs. Linda Louise (Cate) Welty, 75, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at home surrounded by family.
Mrs. Welty was born in Hickoria, AR., on November 24, 1940. She was a homemaker and member of Hickoria Missionary Baptist Church.
She married her husband of 44 years Mr. Robert Welty on January 30, 1972. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2016.
She is survived by six sisters and brothers Pauline Milburn Pierce of Corning, AR., Cecil Cate of Greenville, MO., Euvila Bland of Paragould, AE., Wanda Crossfield of Corning, AR., Earl Cate of Ravenden, AR., Carolyn Matheney of Corning, AR.; several nephews and nieces; best friend Katie; special friends Janice Prater and Jane Reed.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents Barney Floyd Cate and Ona Ancidell (Wood) Cate; son Steve Welty; brithers and sisters Arvel Cate, Imogene Lola Milburn, Leon Cate and Margaret Cate.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Ernie Cate officiating. Burial will follow the services at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, AR. Visitation will be Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
