Lloyd "Son" Coffell

Mr. Lloyd "Son" Elwood Coffell, 89, of Peach Orchard, AR., passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge, AR. Mr. Coffell was born on September 22, 1923 in Clay County, AR. He was a retired maintenance man for Gin and Farm Service. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II, he was a member of the American Legion and was of the Christian faith.

He married his wife of 69 years Hattie Mae (Ferguson) Coffell on May 17, 1943. She survives. Other survivors include five children Danny Coffell and wife Cindy of Killeen, TX., Phil Coffell and wife Janice of Rector, AR., Mick Coffell and wife Mary Lou of Peach Orchard, AR., Monica Coffell Boyd of Paragould, AR., Jeffery Coffell and wife Regina of Branson, MO.; one brother Richard Coffell, one sister Zelda Starr; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert E. and Clara (Kepner) Coffell; three brothers Robert E. Coffell, Thadius Coffell, Newell Coffell; two sisters Mildred Browdy and Wanda Bass.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with David Moore officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow the service in Pirtle Cemetery in Peach Orchard, AR. Visitation will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
