Lloyd Byron Smith

Mr. Lloyd Byron Smith, 83, of Knobel, AR., passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at home. Mr. Smith was born in Knobel, AR., on November 13, 1928. He was a retired farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with family and playing with his grandchildren. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a Shriner, a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans and Peach Orchard Pentecostal Church.
He married his wife Clevagene (Wooldridge) Smith on April 17, 1948, she survives.
Other survivors are three daughters Marcia Lynn Woodhouse of Knobel, AR., Gail Rene' and husband Jeff Allison of Mt. Juliet, TN., Lisa Dawn and husband Michael Jarman of Paragould, AR.; one brother Bobby Joe Smith of Surprise, AZ.; four grandchildren Christie Michelle and husband Greg Watson of Franklin, TN., Matthew Blake Dodd and wife Leslie of Corning, AR., Lauren LB Fraine of Mt. Juliet, TN., Scarlett Olivia Jarman of Paragould, AR.; three great-grandchildren Emily Victoria Watson, Zachery Gage Dodd, and Alec Jude Dodd.
He was preceded in death by his father Mark Nathan Smith, Sr. and mother Mary Lou (Charlton) Smith Hill; two brothers James Lewis Smith and Mark Nathan Smith, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Leland Jim Dement and Keith Wooldridge officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould, AR. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
