Loran Turrentine, Jr.

Mr. Loran Elmer Turrentine, Jr. 68, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 at home. Mr. Turrentine was born in Corning, AR., on March 15, 1944. He was a retired Road Grader, having work thirty three years with the Clay County Road Department. He enjoyed fishing and riding around.
He married his wife Sharon Kaye (Tribble) Turrentine on March 7, 2003. She survives. Other survivores are son Phillip Turrentine and wife Misty of Corning, AR.; daughter Angela and husband Norman Thompson of Delaplaine, AR.; step-son Gary Mills of Cornig, AR.; step-daughter Janan Richardson of Troy, MO.; six brothers Henry Turrentine of Harviell. MO., Lester Turrentine of Doniphan, MO., Joe Turrentine of Neelyville, MO., Stanley Turrentine of Neelyvile, MO., Ora Turrentine of Welton, AZ., Roy Turrentine of Cottonwood, AZ.; seven sisters Betty Pearson of Corning, AR., Mary Jo Fowler of Portageville, MO., Anneda Leonard of Radcliffe, KY., Ruthie Ricker of Doniphan, MO., Rosie Richmond of Bowling Green, KY., Carol McCollum of Corning, AR., Brenda Coe of Corning, AR. and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Loran Elmer and Sarah Elizabeth (Newingham) Turrentine; son Loran Elmer Turrentine, III; brother Bobby Gene Turrentine, sister Marilyn Turrentine Jones and a grandson.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow the services in Salem Cemetery in Boydsville, AR. Public visitation will be held Friday, April 13, 2011 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
