Lore Kempton

Ms. Lore Jean (Spencer) Kempton, 63, of Udall, KS., passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Ms. Kempton was born in Winfield, KS., on October 25, 1952. She was a lifelong resident of Cowley County. She started school in Atlanta then graduated Udall High in 1970. Her passion was being a nurse. Nursing was her life. She married Dan Kempton and to this union, Amanda was born. They later divorced.

She is survived by her daughter Amanda and husband Mike Cate of Corning, AR.; her mother Edith (Wilson) Spencer of El Dorado, KS.; three sisters Shirley “Sam” and husband Marion Reece of Moline, KS., Brenda and husband Glen Cousins of Galva, KS., Jan and husband Dennis Dobbs of Lexington, OK.; three grandchildren Emily and husband Ty Prater, Dylan Cate, Rachel Cate all of Corning, AR.; one great-grandchild Charlee Prater; special nephew Adam Reece and wife Lydia, special niece Erica and husband Mike Cordell.

She was preceded in death by her father Virgil Spencer.

A graveside memorial service will be conducted Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Wilmot Cemetery in Wilmot, KS.
