Lorene Cozart

Mrs. Lorene Alice Cozart, 78, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Mrs. Cozart was born in Corning, AR., on September 10, 1939. She had worked at Basler Electric Company and was also a homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Corning, AR.

She married her husband of 41 years Jewell Cozart on April 20, 1957, he preceded her in death on December 24, 1998.

She is survived by her four children Edward Cozart of Corning, AR., Diana and husband Larry Davis of Gainesville, FL., Terry Cozart and wife Beth of Neelyville, MO., Floyd Cozart and wife Rebecca of Paragould, AR.; brother Jerry Hawkins and wife Heidi of San Antonio, TX.; sister Barbara Reeves of El Dorado, KS.; sister-in-law Carolyn Hawkins of Cypress, IL.; brother-in-law Ron Alsip of The Village, FL.; four grandchildren Jamie, Nicole, Mark and Brian; nine great-grandchildren James, Kobe, Taylor, Chris, Hannah, Jacob, Emily, Caleb and Carson.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Willie Theodore and Alice Julia (Fread) Hawkins; brother Lowell Hawkins and sister Sharon Alsip.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Carl Thomason officiating. Burial will follow the services at Richwoods Cemetery in Corning, AR. Visitation will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
