Loretta "Rita" Murray

Mrs. Loretta “Rita” Murray, 77, of Corning, AR., entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, July 3, 2020 at home. Mrs. Murray was born in Richmond, CA., on January 3, 1943. She worked for Arkansas Area Agency on Aging in addition to being a homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of family and friends. She loved playing with her grandchildren and her dog, Patches. She was a member of Corning Y Pentecostal Church.

On July 1, 1960, she married the love of her life, Garry Murray. He preceded her in death on December 8, 2009.

She is survived by her children Sharlyn and husband Joe Nolan of Knobel, AR., Connie and husband Joe Lowry of Knob, AR., and Garry Murray and wife Teresa of Murfreesboro, TN.; sister Mary Ann Webb of Cape Girardeau, MO.; grandchildren Michelle (Trevor) Barrett, Michael Nolan, Matthew Lowry and Ally Murray; great-grandchildren Kylie Jo and Katelyn Dawn Hansen, Michael T. and Murray Nolan and Lilian Barrett; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Arby Aaron and Ora Gertrude (Rotham) Nixon; brother Kenneth Ray Nixon and granddaughter Julie Jo Nolan.

A graveside service will be conducted Monday, July 6, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the Corning Cemetery with Danny Hollowell officiating.
