Louise Coleman, aged 80, of Corning, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, surrounded by the warmth of her loved ones at Corning Therapy and Living Center.
Born on May 12, 1945, in San Rafael, California, Louise dedicated an incredible 57 years to serving First National Bank in Corning, where she held various roles with unwavering commitment, including the esteemed position of Vice President of New Accounts. Her remarkable work ethic and dedication to customer service allowed her to forge many meaningful relationships throughout her career, making a significant impact on the lives of those she helped.
When she wasn't working, Louise found joy in reading and antiquing, displaying a natural talent for discovering treasures. However, her greatest joy and pride came from her family. Louise cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, and her heart was truly devoted to nurturing those relationships. As a long-time active member of the Corning Lion’s Club, which she proudly joined on February 1, 1999, she served as Secretary-Treasurer from 2000 to 2020 and as 2nd Vice President from 2022 to 2024. Her unwavering spirit and dedication also shone through her faith as a devoted member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Corning.
Louise is survived by her beloved daughter, Cindy (Matt) Woolard of Corning, Arkansas; her grandchildren, J. T. and Robbie Woods, Cole Woolard, and Katie (Khristan) Uran; a cherished great-grandchild, Samuel Dean Woods; and her siblings, Martin (Janice) Garrett of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Mary (Larry) Wiedeman of Corning, Arkansas. She will be deeply missed by many relatives and friends whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Tina Woods; her parents, Sol and Minnie (Ahrent) Garrett, Jr.; and her sister, Judy Duffel.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorials to be made to the Corning Lion’s Club, PO Box 224, Corning, AR 72422, to honor Louise's spirit of service.
The visitation will take place on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel, with a funeral service immediately following at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Jon Bischof. Louise will be laid to rest at Corning Cemetery.
Louise Coleman will forever remain in our hearts, where her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire those who knew her.
