Louise Herring

Louise Guthrey Herring, 84, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 at Briarwood Nursing and Rehab in Little Rock, AR. Mrs. Herring was born June 24, 1939 in Corning, AR. She was retired from Corning School District where she taught Home Economics. Louise enjoyed sewing, gardening, and playing the piano and organ. She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Corning.

She married Fred Herring on April 10, 1996. They were married 21 years prior to his death on September 17, 2017. Survivors include her sister Marjorie Clements of Mountain Home, AR.; nephews Jim (Kristine) Clements, Jr. of Houston, TX., and John Clements of Mountain Home, AR.; niece Leigh Gibson of Bryant, AR.; great nephew Jacob Clements of Houston, TX.; step-children David (Tammie) Herring of Corning, AR., Anthony (Christina) Herring of Walnut Ridge, AR., Dian Wisdom of New Jersey, Sheila (Jim) Sartorius of Cedar Falls, IA., Beverly (Rick) Milburn of Jonesboro, AR., Beth (Keithel) Berry of Jonesboro, AR.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other friends and relatives.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Hubert and Virginia (Elliott) Guthrey.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Robert Moore officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery.
