Mrs. Florence Lucille Higgs, 90, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at home. Mrs. Higgs was born in Corning, AR., on April 3, 1925. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed attending church and spending time with her family. She was a member of Apostolic Lighthouse Church at Moark, AR.
She married her husband of 54 years Mr. Harold Higgs on Sept. 2, 1950 in Pocahontas, AR. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2005.
She is survived by her children Lonnie Higgs and wife Wendy of Corning, AR., Vicki and husband Russell Adams, Jr. of Corning, AR.; sister Sarah Ellen Higgs of Rockford, IL.; grandchildren LaMonica and husband Jason Moore, Matt Adams and wife Freda, Kevin Higgs, Larinda and husband Bryan James; great-grandchildren Matthew, Tyler, Amanda, Ryan, Karson, Levi, Spencer, and Emma.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Thomas Nelson and Ethel (LaRue) Middleton.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Bill Meadors and Al Long officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
