Mrs. Maizel Baxley, 84, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR.
Born on October 30, 1926 in Corning, AR., Mrs. Baxley was a homemaker and a member of the House of Prayer in Corning, AR.
On June 24, 1944 she was united in marriage to George V. Baxley, he preceded her in death on July 25, 1985.
Survivors include one son George E. and wife Cecil Baxley of Jonesboro, AR.; one brother Joseph LaRue of Rockford, IL.; two sisters Yuvawn Brown of Harrison, IL. Joyce Blanchard of Rockford, IL.; four grandchildren Erika Waller, Heidi Friend; Ron Baxley and Penny Lee Baxley; six great-grandchildren Rikki Friend, Daisy Saladino, Rhet and Blair Baxley, Grace and Owen Waller; nephew Dennis Brown; two nieces Shelia Wells, Shuvawn Camm; special friends Wanda Hays, Opal Yeary, Donna Bennett, and Faith Notcha.
She was preceded in death by husband George V. Baxley; son Rickie Baxley; and parents Thomas and Gladys (Crabb) LaRue.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 17, 2010 from 12:00 PM (Noon) until 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM Reverend Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will follow the service at Corning Cemetery.
