Manuel Lamp

Mr. Manuel Burkley Lamp, 90, of De Soto, MO., passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, MO. Mr. Lamp was born in Piggott, AR., on December 22, 1921. He was a retired mechanic for Feld Leasing in Saint Louis, MO. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He married his wife Mary Lois (Sibert) Lamp on October 1, 1951, she preceded him in death on February 15, 2011.

He is survived by two daughters Benita F. Lemp of De Soto, MO., Lisa A. Crawley of Livonia, MI.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents William and Clemy (Sweeten) Lamp; two brothers Mathias Lamp, Asa Lamp; two sisters Catherine Vail and Eileen Guthery.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Eberhardt and Jon Knochenmus officating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Public visitation will be held Monday, January 2, 2012 from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
