Mrs. Margaret Oneida Cannady, 80 of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at home. Mrs. Cannady was born in Kennett, MO., on September 4, 1935. She was a retired sales associate from Wal-Mart. She was a member of Grassylead Church of Christ.
She married her husband of 52 years Dewayne Cannady on March 10, 1953. He preceded her in death on September 1, 2005.
She is survived by two sons David Cannady and wife Peggy of Houston, TX., Doug Cannady of Oak Grove, AR.; three brothers Bobby Benson of Kimberling City, MO., Richard Benson of Kennett, MO., Michael Benson of Kennett, MO.; five grandchildren Stacey Roleson, Nathan Cannady, Elizabeth Cannady, Morgan Coupland, Nick Cannady; three great-grandchildren Olivia Bolen, Jayke Bolen and Jolie Cannady.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents Harry Everett and Elcie May (Damron) Benson; six sisters Opal Mullen, Mary Killian, Lavada Scott, Elcie “Johnnie” Wallis, Dorothy Mullins, and Barbara Gail Coffell.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Richwoods Cemetery in Corning, AR., with Sid McFarland officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel.
