Margaret Thomas, 88, of Reno, Nevada, formerly of Corning, passed away September 19, 2026, at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada.

Mrs. Thomas was born April 26, 1938, in Neelyville, Missouri. Throughout her life, Margaret built lasting memories with those she loved and treasured the special moments spent with family and friends. She worked at Basler Electric in Corning until her retirement.

Margaret had a love for life and enjoyed spending her leisure time visiting casinos and playing poker. Whether enjoying a favorite pastime or simply visiting with loved ones, she appreciated the companionship and laughter that made those moments meaningful. Her family and friends held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the time they shared together. Margaret also had a special bond with her beloved dog, Doodle, and took great joy in caring for her faithful companion. Her Christian faith was an important part of her life.

Though Margaret had made her home in Reno, she remained connected to her roots in the Corning area. She will be remembered by those who knew and loved her for the memories they shared and the place she held in their lives.

Survivors include her son, Dylan Thomas of Reno, Nevada; sisters, Alberta Hardin, Brenda Patterson, and Nyoika Brown; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Ray Thomas, Jr.; her parents, Johnnie and Louise (Davis) Sence; her sister, Duggie McKinney; and her brother, Johnnie Sence, Jr.

Margaret’s memory will be cherished by her family and friends, who will hold close the moments they shared with her.

A graveside service will be held at Moark Cemetery with Bro. Herbert Ellis officiating on Monday October 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home.
