Marie Boyd

Mrs. Marie Boyd, 98, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mrs. Boyd was born in Palatka, AR., she was a homemaker, she enjoyed working with flowers, making quilts, walking and reading her Bible, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Corning.

She is survived by three sons Dallas Boyd of Birch Tree, MO., Lonnie Boyd of Knobel, AR., Norman Boyd of Texarkana, AR.; four daughters Leona Johnson of Knobel, AR., Darlene Dolan of Corning, AR., Evelyn Hines of Wilmington, NC., Gearaldine Demby of Frostproof, FL.; twenty-three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Boyd; parents John Minor and Olena (Lamb) Chappell; two sons Darrell and Loyal Boyd; one daughter Anita Allyn; four grandchildren Kim Elmer, Ray, Ronnie and Jimmy Boyd and one great-grandson Aaron Grissom.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Sunny Williams officiating. Burial will follow the service in Black Cemetery near Success, AR. Public visitation will be held Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
