Mrs. Bessie Marie Mathis, 74, of Paragould, AR., passed away at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Mrs. Mathis was born in Peach Oechard, AR., on October 9, 1937. She was a retired cook and of the Baptist Faith.
She married her husband Dillon Mathis on July 26, 1974. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2003.
She is survived by her daughter Tammy Reed of Paragould, AR.; a brother Leland White of Pocahontas, AR.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents William "Bill" Clyde and Bessie (Williams) White and son Larry McRee.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM at New Covenant Worship Center in Paragould with Docter Dennis Bradley officiating. Burial will follow the service in New Friendship Cemetery near Paragould. Public visitation will be conducted Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the church.
