Ms. Marilyn Rae (Turrentine) Jones, 60, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at home. Ms. Jones was born in Red Bud, IL., on June 30, 1951. She was a homemaker who enjoyed puzzles, drinking coffee, and yard sales. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by one daughter Karen Robinson of Corning, AR.; one step-daughter Samantha Jones of Corning, AR.; seven brothers Loran Turrentine of Corning, AR., Henry Turrentine of Harviell, MO., Lester Turrentine of Roland, OK., Ora Turrentine of Welton, AZ., Roy Turrentine of Cottonwood, AZ., Joe Turrentine of Neelyville, MO., Stanley Turrentine of Neelyville, MO.; seven sisters Mary Jo Henry of Portageville, MO., Anneda Leonard of Radcliff, KY., Ruthie Ricker of Doniphan, MO., Rosie Richmond of Bowling Green, KY., Betty Pearson of Corning, AR., Carol McCollum of Corning, AR., Brenda Coe of Corning, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents Loran Elmer Turrentine, Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth (Newingham) Turrentine; and one brother Bobby Gene Turrentine.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow the service in Moark Cemetery in Moark, AR. Public visitation will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 1:00 PM until the time of service.
