Mrs. Marjorie Elizabeth Carpenter, 77, of Knobel, AR., passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge, AR. Mrs. Carpenter was born in Browning, MO., on May 30, 1934. She was a homemaker and member of Delaplaine Baptist Church.
She married her husband Harold Gene Carpenter on October 6, 1967. He survives. Other survivors include two sisters Mary Collins of Brookfield, MO., Carolyn (John) Hamrick of Pleasant Hill, MO.; three grandchildren Justin Eric Carpenter, Stephanie Ashton McNabb and Kelly Jean McNabb.
She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Nellie (Lumsden) Wattenbarger; daughter Carolyn McNabb in May 2011; two brothers Jay Wattenbarger, Chester Wattenbarger; and sister Josephine Shipley.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Delaplaine Baptist Church in Delaplaine, AR., with Reverend Don Settles officiating. Burial will follow the service in Hosea Cemetery in Knobel, AR. Public visitation will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
