Mark Steven Lockwood, 66, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026, just one day shy of his 67th birthday, at Springhill Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Born on January 24, 1959, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Mark was truly a remarkable individual. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him were often treated to his many humorous and sometimes unbelievable stories. With a larger-than-life personality and a playful spirit, he had an exceptional ability to bring laughter to those around him.

Mark dedicated 41 years of his life to serving the State of Arkansas, an impressive commitment that reflected his strong character and work ethic. In recent months, he found immense joy in his cherished 1937 Chevrolet Coupe, a car he loved dearly that brought excitement and happiness to his life in his final months.

On November 1, 1980, Mark married his high school sweetheart, Leah Larene Lockwood. Together, they enjoyed 32 years of marriage, building a family and a life filled with love until Leah's passing in 2013.

Mark is survived by two sons, Zach Lockwood and his wife Lauren of Cabot, Arkansas, and Cole Lockwood of Oklahoma; as well as his adored granddaughters, Lexie and Bailey Lockwood. He is also survived by his brothers, Kent and Doug Lockwood, along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss his humor, stories, and vibrant presence.

Mark was preceded in death by his beloved wife, and his parents, Bob and Pat (Whitehead) Lockwood.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel, followed by funeral services at 2:00 PM, officiated by Reverend Bart Baker. Burial will take place in Corning Cemetery.
