Mrs. Virginia Marline Halcomb, 76, of Knobel, AR., passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Pocahontas, Healthcare and Rehab in Pocahontas, AR. Mrs. Halcomb was born in Ravenden Springs, AR., on April 20, 1936. Dhe was a Homemaker and a mamber of the Knobel Pentecostal Church.
She married her husband W.D. "Dub" Halcomb on July 4, 1952. He preceded her in death.
She was survived by four sons Jim Halcomb of Knobel, AR., Glen Halcomb of Decatur, AR., Larry Halcomb of Knobel., Rick Halcomb of Corning, AR.; four daughters Judy Forbes of Knobel, AR., Cathy Green of Corning, AR., Charlotte Wheat of Lafe, AR., Cathy Moore of Jonesboro, AR.; twenty two grandchildren; twenty nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents Ernest Eugene and Sara IsaBelle (Ashcraft) Collins; three brothers Francis Collins, Freeman Collins, Wilburn Collins; two grandchildren Benjamin Arron Halcomb and Ashley Green.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kelsey Vallance officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel. Visitaion will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
