Mrs. Martha Virginia (Owen) Border, 91, of Peach Orchard, AR., went to meet the Lord Tuesday, August 16, 2016. Mrs. Border entered this world on June 22, 1925 in Peach Orchard. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Peach Orchard Pentecostal Church since her birth. She loved attending church and playing piano.
On March 16, 1947 she married her husband of 53 years Ernest Border. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2000.
She is survived by special nephew Donnie Steele and wife Pat of Peach Orchard, AR., one brother John Ed and wife Helen of Spring Hill, FL., many nieces, nephews, close friends and students she had taught through out her years at Knobel and Corning schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Ralph and Hattie (Martin) Owen; one brother Ray Owen; two sisters Neta Steele and Mary Sneed.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 19, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Peach Orchard Pentecostal Church Pastor Terry Milburn officiating. Burial will follow the services at Brownie Cemetery in Peach Orchard. Visitation will be held Friday, August 19, 2016 from 12:00 Noon until the time of services at the church.
