Mrs. Mary Ella Blanton, 87, of Saint Louis, MO., passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at Randolph County Nursing Home in Pocahontas, AR. Mrs. Blanton was born in Middlebrook, AR., on February 26, 1926. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She married her husband Sterling Thomas Blanton on August 13, 1946, he preceded her in death on February 22, 1986.
She is survived by one daughter Sue Ekstrom of Florissant, MO.; one son Tom Blanton of Phoenix, AZ.; two grandsons Joshua Blanton, Scott Blanton and one great-grandson Hendrix Blanton.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Orie M. and Mayme (Chorice) Hagood; and one son Dennis Blanton.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 18, 2013 at 12:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Darrell Fears officiating. Burial will follow the services in Nelson Cemetery near Reyno, AR. Visitation will be held Monday, March 18, 2013 from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
