Mrs. Mary Sue Brown, 73, of Corning passed away August 31, 2022 at home.
Mrs. Brown was born February 13, 1949 in McDougal. She served as center director for BRAD Headstart for many years prior to her retirement. She was also a homemaker who loved spending time with her husband and taking care of her grandchildren. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
On October 14, 1966, she married Joe Brown. They were married 52 years prior to his death on July 2, 2018.
Survivors include her sons Shannon (Nancy Wyatt) Brown of Corning and Shawn Brown of Corning; grandchildren Lorean (Josh) Cooley, Reagen (Anthony) Grooms, Halie and Landon Brown and Ashtin Grogan; great grandchildren Jett, Jaxton, Korvin, Lennyn and Dayson; sister-in-law Wanda Roark of McDougal; nephews Greg (Carol) Laughlin, Mike (Kim) Mansker and Shane Mansker; nieces Karla (Bruce) Newboles, Brenda McGrew, Leanna (Mark) Glasgow, Shelly and Samantha Mansker; friends Dyshawn and Bub Morley, Jamie Smith; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Aubrey E. and Doris F. (Peace) Mansker; brother Aubrey “John” Mansker; sister Ramona Mansker; father-in-law and mother-in-law Jim and Lalia Brown; and brother-in-law Jackie Ray Roark.
A graveside service will be held Friday September 2, 2022 at 10 a.m. at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard with Johnny Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home at the cemetery.
