Mary Cunningham

Mrs. Mary Alice Cunningham, 91, of Success, AR., passed away Monday June 4, 2019 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Mrs. Cunningham was born in Success, AR., on October 15, 1927. She was a homemaker, farmer’s wife and teacher who enjoyed camping, traveling, reading, gardening, genealogy and painting. She was a member of Success First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 65 years and served in many other capacities.

She married her husband of 51 years Harold “Sonny” Cunningham on October 15, 1947. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1999.

She is survived by her two sons Conrad Cunningham and wife Diana of Oxford, MS., Keith Cunningham and wife Jamie of Success, AR.; two granddaughters Desiree and husband Kris McNeely of Jonesboro, AR., Alyssa Cunningham of Jonesboro, AR., and great-grandson Felix McNeely.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents John and Pearl (Wilson) Gambill; brother Jesse Pulliam and sister Faye Russell.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Success, AR., with Reverend Logan McCourtney and Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 1:00 PM until the start of service at the Church.
