Mary Hoover, 90, of Corning, Arkansas passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, at Corning Therapy and Living Center.

Mary was born on August 27, 1935, in Corning. A devoted family member, she held her loved ones dear, treasuring every moment spent together. In her leisure time, Mary found joy in sewing and nurturing her yard. She was a loyal member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Corning, where she formed many lasting friendships.

On December 2, 1956, she married George Robert Hoover, sharing a loving partnership that lasted 55 years until his passing on October 18, 2012.

She is survived by her children, Robert Hoover and Pamela Diane; her sisters, Anna Pritchard, Alice Ferguson, and Ruth Cavitt, all of Corning; and her beloved grandchildren, Zach Hoover, Ethan Rice, and Ashley Rice.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Samantha (Hart) Cooper; her brothers, Jimmy, Jerald, and Dale Cooper; her sister, Naomi Housdan; and her grandchild, Alexandria Hoover.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning, followed by funeral services at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Mary will be laid to rest at Cantwell Cemetery in Corning.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
