Mrs. Mary Linda Mathis. 71, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at home. Mrs. Mathis was born in Naylor, MO., on October 18, 1944. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed painting and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a member of Palatka Church of Christ.
She married her husband of 47 years Mr. Don Franklin Mathis on July 28, 1968. He survives, other survivors include her children Leslie and husband Chad Price of Corning, AR., Chris Mathis and wife Lisa of Lake City, AR.; her mother Lora E. (Gideon) Woolard of Success, AR.; six grandchildren Kelsey Mathis Brooks, Hayden Mathis, Wyatt Mathis, Natalie Price, Jacob Price, Ty Price; two great-grandchildren Harley Brooks and Walker Brooks.
She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence Reedus "L.R." Woolard and one brother Dan Woolard.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Palatka Church of Christ with Jon Fears officiating. Burial will follow the services at Black Cemetery near Success, AR. Visitation will be held Friday, January 15, 2016 in the Palatka Church of Christ from 12:00 PM until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Noah's Ark Pre-School, 500 NW 4th St., Corning, AR 72422
