Mary Parsons

Mary Parsons, 58, of Pocahontas passed away January 24, 2022 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Mrs. Parsons was born April 20, 1963 in Corning. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, talking on the phone, watching Razorback football, and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

On August 8, 1981, she married James Parsons, Sr. They recently celebrated 40 years of marriage. Other survivors include her children James (Gail) Parsons, Jr. of Pocahontas and David (Amy) Parsons of Oppelo; siblings Betty Leynett Hudson, Melvin Lee Hudson, Beatrice Mae Sutton, Helen Jean Lehmann and Eva Kay Johnson; and grandchildren James Christopher, Daniel Kennedy, Zelda Inez, and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by parents Melvin Howard and Betty (Stormes) Hudson and brother David Lynn Hudson.

Visitation will be Friday from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Graveside service will follow at Hosea Cemetery at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Hosea Cemetery.
