Ms. Mary Perkins, 74, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, November 14, 2011 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Ms. Perkins was born in Knobel, AR., on June 26, 1937. She was a homemaker and she was Pentecostal in faith.
She is survived by one son Farrell Gene Perkins of Paragould, AR.; one daughter Denise Shook of Knobel, AR.; three brothers Landis Shook of Paragould, AR., W. E. Johnson of De Soto, MO., Gaylon Shook of Lansing, MI.; one sister Georgia Kessler of Paragould, AR.; two grandchildren Misty and Nathan Perkins; two great-grandchildren Alicia and Ashley.
She was preceded in death by her parents William H. and Verneal (Kessler) Shook; brother Farrell Johnson and sister Wileen Roden.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Marlin Ray officiating. Burial will follow the service in Hosea Cemetery in Knobel, AR. Public visitation will be held Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
