Mrs. Mary Lou (Land) Townsend, 79, of Knobel, AR., passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Townsend was born in Portia, AR., on November 26, 1935. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, crocheting and fishing.

She married her husband of 57 years, Teddy Joe Townsend on March 23, 1957. He survives, other survivors include four daughters Linda and husband Bill Stormes of Knobel, AR. Susan Harper of Sedgwick, AR., Vickie and husband Terry Robinson of Corning, AR., Tammy and husband Alan Collins of Ravenden, AR.; brother Jerry Land and wife Dee of Troy, MO.; sisters Babs and husband Jerry King of Jonesboro, AR., Laverne and husband Bill Gaines of Portia, AR.; eight grandchildren Autumn and husband Steven Renfro, Bill Stormes Jr. and wife Erika, Matt Harper, Eli Harper, Sara and husband Andrew Yarbrough, Seth Robinson, Joe Collins, Lane Collins; five great-grandchildren Kendra Burton, Lana Burton, Khaleesi Stormes, Elise Yarbrough and Drew Yarbrough.

She was preceded in death by her parents Basil and Verniel (Simpson) Land; grandson Joey Ray Townsend Stormes; brother Tommy Land; sisters Retha Vines, Pat Lindteigen and son-in-law Ethan Harper.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 1, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Dingus officiating, Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, December 1, 2014 from 12 PM until the time of services.
