Mrs. Melissa Michelle Chavez, 44, of Knobel, AR., passed away Friday, December 27, 2013
at home. Mrs. Chavez was born in Heber Springs AR., on July 4, 1969. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the time she spent playing with grandchildren, she also enjoyed crocheting and playing video games. She attended the Knobel Pentecostal Church.
She married her husband Jesse Martin Chavez on June 11, 1988. He survives. Other survivors include her six children T.J. Chavez of Knobel, AR., Alicia Edwards of Knobel, AR., Ethan Chavez of Knobel, AR., Antonio Chavez of Knobel, AR., Trai Chavez of Knobel, AR., Dyane Chavez of Knobel, AR.; her mother Artie (Mathis) Fairfield of Pangburn, AR., one brother Carl Fairfield; two sisters Veronica
Burget, Marsha Sutterfield; four grandchildren Kaileigh, Madison, Joshua and Axl.
She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Joyal Fairfield and one granddaughter Alicia
Raine Edwards.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Michael Freeman officiating at the Pirtle Cemetery near Peach Orchard, AR. Visitation will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home.
