Melvieda Hays, 88 of Corning, AR., passed away July 14, 2023 at home.
Mrs. Hays was born April 11, 1935 in Corning, AR., she loved going to church, sewing, and fishing. Mrs. Hays worked at Basler Electric for many years as an assembly worker. She was a member of the House of Prayer in Corning.
Survivors include her son Dennis Hays of Corning, AR.; daughter Becky Nidever of Pocahontas, AR.; brother Lessie Dwayne “Sonny” Wilson of Van Buren, AR.; sister Elaine “Snookie” Oglesby of Paducah, KY.; five grandkids and one great grandson.
She was preceded in death by father and mother Clearance and Letha Wilson; husband Elvin Hays, Jr. son Michael Hays, sister Lorene Brown and a brother Wilburn Wilson.
Visitation will be Monday, July 17, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Carman McMaster and Rev. Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will follow the services in Richwoods Cemetery.
