Melvina Dodd

Mrs Ida Melvina Dodd, 83, of Knobel, AR., passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Dodd was born in Hoxie, AR., on December 18,1934. She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of children and spending time with her family. She was a member of Knobel First Baptist Church.

She married her husband of 65 years Mr. Joe Ethan Dodd on March 5, 1953. He survives, other survivors include her four children Ralph E. Dodd of Knobel, AR., Joe R. Dodd of Knobel, AR., Michael W. Dodd of Knobel, AR., Jerry L. Dodd of Knobel, AR.; sister Betty Lou and husband Arthur Inman of Hoxie, AR.; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Lillie Mae (Tubbs) Lewis; her brother Ralph K. Lewis; a grandson Daniel Wayne Dodd and great-grandson Gage Dodd.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Carl Rider officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pirtle Cemetery in Peach Orchard, AR. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 1:00 PM until the time of services.
