Mike “Biggin” Sims, 59, of Hooker passed away February 15, 2022 at home.

Mike was born June 12, 1962 in Corning. He was retired from Emerson Electric. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved spending time at the cabin and river with his family and friends. He was of the Baptist faith.

On June 12, 1981, he married Debbie Belyew, who survives. This past June, they celebrated their 40 th wedding anniversary. Other survivors are two sisters; Leigh (Terry) Smith of Corning; brother-in-law John (Julie) Belyew; sister-in-law Donna (John) Miller; Brantley Smith and several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles “Heavy” Sims; mother Karron Maryann (Flannery) Jackson; and brother Charles Sims, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Josh Miller, Darrell Tyler, Slade Dollar, Brian Foster, Rickey Ellis, Larry Boak, Shane Bass, Matt Lowry, and Justin Luce.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Graveside service will follow visitation at 3 p.m. at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will be at Hosea Cemetery.
