Milburn Gambill

Mr. Milburn Lee Gambill, 94, of Wentzville, MO., formerly of Corning, AR., passed away at Parklane Care Center in Wentzville, MO. Mr. Gambill was born in Datto, AR., on January 21, 1921. He was owner and operator of Gambill Furniture Mart in West Alton, MO. He was a man that loved and served the Lord everyday of his life. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Corning, AR., he also attended through the years Chambers Park Baptist Church and Lindsay Lane Baptist Church.

He married his wife of sixty-six years Ada Marie (Creason) Gambill on October 21, 1939. She preceded him in death on October 5, 2006.

He is survived by one daughter Shirley Petelik; three grandchildren Stephen (Linda) Petelik, Patrice Thess, David (Michelle) Petelik; seven great-grandchildren Heather Spies, Kayla Petelik, Cheyenne Petelik, Hunter Petelik, Amanda Stinson, Heather Potter, Nick Hessel; three great-great-grandchildren Serenity, Louis, Aaylah; two brothers Gene (Arlyn) Gambill and James (Barbara) Gambill.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents Elmer and Clara (Thomas) Gambill; one daughter Patsy Thess; one sister Rozzie Gambill and one brother Winfred Gambill.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Moore officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
